Our February Wines of the Month have a very definite theme: They're all from France, except for the ones that aren't from France, which is more than half of them. So the theme is more like "wines that aren't from France but also wines that are from France," and this is a great example of why we don't assign a theme to our Wines of the Month because they already have a theme: They're all wonderfully unique, delicious, and affordable, and that's a theme we have all the time.

Chemistry
Sparkling Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley, Oregon

This wine cannot wait for Brunch With A Gaggle Of Friends to make a triumpant return.
Chemistry smells big and fruity but it's crisp and dry, like big tart watermelon Cava. Super refreshing and begging for rich hollandaise sauce or fried chicken and waffles.
F&F PRICE: $19.99/btl
REG PRICE: $24.99/btl
3 bottles: $18.99/ea | 6 bottles: $17.99/ea | 12+ bottles: $16.99/ea

Clos LaChance
Meritage
Santa Clara Valley, CA

This wine pairs perfectly with another bottle of this wine
Meritage (sounds like "heritage") is a beautiful, smooth blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Big fruit without being too jammy, and it has a nice savory side to it, too.
F&F PRICE: $18.99/btl
REG PRICE: $21.99/btl
3 bottles: $18.04/ea | 6 bottles: $17.09/ea | 12+ bottles: $16.14/ea

Giacomo Grimaldi
Sauvignon Blanc/Gris
Italy

A great alternative to French or New Zealand Sauv Blanc.
Think French Sauv Blanc with a little more body, thanks to the Sauv Gris. Enjoy it with lobster risotto with peas and an extra pat of butter.
F&F PRICE: $17.99/btl
REG PRICE: $19.99/btl
3 bottles: $17.09/ea | 6 bottles: $16.19/ea | 12+ bottles: $15.29/ea

Château Carbonneau
Sparkling
France

Wow your special someone with Bill St. John's Linguine with "caviar"-dappled scallops in lemon cream
Low alcohol (just 10.5%) makes this "Champagne method" French bubbly eminently quaffable. You won't find sparklers from France this inviting on the palate or this benevolent to the wallet.
ALWAYS $19.99/btl
3 bottles: $18.99/ea | 6 bottles: $17.99/ea | 12+ bottles: $16.99/ea

Piazzano
Ciliegiolo
Tuscany, Italy

Surprise your friends with this obscure grape from Italy.
A rare Italian grape that is a relative of Sangiovese. Dry but without tannins. Distinct dry cherry, dusty and leathery. Light enough for salmon and white meats but bold enough for steaks.
F&F PRICE: $16.99/btl
REG PRICE: $18.99/btl
3 bottles: $16.14/ea | 6 bottles: $15.29/ea | 12+ bottles: $14.44/ea

Martha Stoumen Post Flirtation
Red Blend
California

It's called "Post Flirtation" but we think it works better as pre-flirtation.
A great wine to drink when the night is getting started. Fresh organic and natural Zinfandel-Carignan to sip if you want to get cooking (wink+wink).
F&F PRICE: $24.99/btl
REG PRICE: $29.99/btl
3 bottles: $23.74/ea | 6 bottles: $22.49/ea | 12+ bottles: $21.24/ea

Wild Eye
Zinfandel
Lime Kiln Valley, CA

Spicy old-vine Zin from central California.
Your significant other will give you that eye if you drink their share of this bottle. Big, bold, oaky, spicy, cocoa-y, jammy. Just as you should expect from old-vine Zins.
F&F PRICE: $17.99/btl
REG PRICE: $19.99/btl
3 bottles: $17.09/ea | 6 bottles: $16.19/ea | 12+ bottles: $15.29/ea
